Take a SYDENHAM TRAIN from any city station to West Footscray: travel time 12 min, walk 5 to 7 min.
At West Footscray, do not cross the train line to reach the Museum: you will need to cross the line when returning to Melbourne.
The large road-bridge that goes over the tracks is Geelong ROAD. Walk alongside it, do not cross it. The Museum is on the same side as the station. Cross Geelong STREET at the signals.
There is a car yard, an "iron foundry" then MMOP.
There are three bus routes that stop near MMOP. More detail from the Metlink website. Try the Bus stop info page.
Route 411 and 412 connect from the Laverton and Nth Altona areas and stop near the "Cafe" shown on our map. In the other direction, they connect from Footscray Bus interchange (Paisley St) and stop near Wales St, approximately opposite MMOP.
Route 472 connects from Williamstown, Newport, Yarraville areas and stops near West Footscray Station. In the other direction it connects from Moonee Ponds, Ascot Vale, Flemington, Nth Footscray areas, via Footscray centre, to a stop near West Footscray Station.
The Museum is located in Geelong Road, about 300 m past the 'hump bridge' that crosses the railway at West Footscray. It is located in the inbound service road. (Coming from the city) you pass by the Museum (on your right) and make a U-turn where the sign says 'Robbs Road and Graingers Road'. Go right across into the service road and drive back up Geelong Road.
All-day parking is usually available in Robbs Road or Graingers Road but not much in front of the Museum.
Consider public transport.
